YEAH, GLAD EVERYBODY MADE IT OUT OKAY THERE. WE HAVE THE POTENTIAL FOR MORE SEVERE STORMS TOMORROW. ZAIN, YOU’RE KEEPING AN EYE ON THAT FOR US TONIGHT. YEAH, WE DO NOW, FIRST OFF, THIS SETUP DOESN’T LOOK AS SIMILAR TO WHAT WE SAW BACK ON FRIDAY. IT’S NOT ON THE SAME SCALE, BUT IT IS STILL THE POSSIBILITY FOR SEVERE STORMS, MAINLY WESTERN IOWA. LIKE WE TALKED ABOUT EARLIER. THIS IS A LEVEL TWO RISK IN THAT YELLOW ZONE WEST OF I 35 TIMING WISE, ROUGHLY LATER IN THE AFTERNOON THROUGH THE FIRST PART OF THE NIGHT, 4 TO 11 P.M. ROUGHLY WEST TO EAST ACROSS THAT YELLOW ZONE, SEVERE WINDS, LARGE HAIL, MAYBE A BRIEF TORNADO IS POSSIBLE. WINDS ARE GOING TO BE THE HIGHEST LEVEL THREAT WITH THESE STORMS. WE’LL TALK ABOUT WHY IN A LITTLE BIT. HAIL PROBABLY SECONDARY TORNADOES NOT AS HIGH BUT NOT A ZERO. A POTENTIAL EITHER TODAY. I MEAN, WE DIDN’T HAVE ANYTHING TO WORRY ABOUT AT ALL. AT MOST, IT WAS KIND OF DEPENDING ON WHO HAD CLOUDS AND WHO DIDN’T. YOU SEE SOUTHERN IOWA, PLACES LIKE LAMONI, IOWA, BLUE SKIES, ALL DAY, NO ALGONA UP NORTH, KIND OF OVERCAST THROUGH MUCH OF THE DAY. NICE LITTLE SUNSET THERE WHERE WE HAD CLEAR SKIES INTO THE EVENING AND IT’S PRETTY QUIET OUTSIDE TONIGHT. LET’S JUMP TO TOMORROW THEN. SUNRISE TOMORROW. EVERYBODY GETS SUNSHINE TO START OFF THE DAY, AND OUR WINDS START TO PICK UP OUT OF THE SOUTH. AS WE GO THROUGH YOUR TUESDAY AFTERNOON. DIFFERENT FROM TODAY, IT’S A SOUTHERLY BREEZE NOW. SOME OF THE MODELING HAS BEEN PRETTY PERSISTENT ABOUT KIND OF A BROKEN LITTLE LINE OF MAYBE A FEW SHOWERS MOVING THROUGH IN THE MIDDLE OF THE AFTERNOON. THAT’S POSSIBLE. THAT MIGHT MAYBE MIX UP OUR SEVERE WEATHER POTENTIAL A LITTLE BIT, BUT IF THESE DO FORM, THEY WOULD BE NOT SEVERE. IT’S THAT STUFF OUT TO THE WEST TOWARDS THE STATE LINE WITH SOUTH DAKOTA AND AND PARTS OF NEBRASKA THAT WILL BE KEEPING AN EYE ON. IT’S GOING TO BE MUCH WARMER TOMORROW TO SEVENTYS TO NEAR 80 DEGREES TOMORROW AFTERNOON WITH SUNSHINE AND THAT SOUTHERLY BREEZE GUSTING UP TOWARDS 35MPH. WATCH AS WE GO TOWARDS THREE, 4 OR 5:00. WE START TO FIRE UP SOME STORMS OUT IN WESTERN IOWA. NOW AT THIS POINT, THIS IS WHEN PROBABLY YOUR POTENTIAL, OUR TORNADO POTENTIAL IS THE HIGHEST. JUST BECAUSE STORMS ARE STILL BE INDIVIDUAL CELLS AT THAT POINT. THAT’S USUALLY WHEN YOU CAN HAVE HAVE A BETTER CHANCE OF FORMING TORNADOES. WE DON’T QUITE HAVE THE HUMIDITY AT THE LOWER LEVELS. WE WOULD LIKE. WE DO HAVE SOME WIND SHEAR THOUGH, BUT WATCH AS WE GO THROUGH THE EVENING. EVERYTHING KIND OF CONGEALS INTO A LINE SWEEPS EASTWARD, PROBABLY AROUND SEVEN 8:00. ROUGHLY THAT EVENING TIME FRAME IS WHEN THOSE STORMS WILL GET TO THE I-35 CORRIDOR. AFTER THAT, THEY WILL WEAKEN INTO THE REST OF THE NIGHT. TEN, 11:00 OR NINE 1011 EASTERN IOWA STORMS START TO DISSIPATE OR AT LEAST WEAKEN FIRST, AND THEN THEY’LL DISSIPATE AS THEY SWEEP EASTWARD BY MIDNIGHT. WE SHOULD BE PRETTY MUCH DONE WITH THAT ROUND OF SOME STORMS THAT’S GONE. AND THEN WE START WEDNESDAY DRY NEXT SYSTEM STARTS TO APPROACH FROM THE SOUTH AND WEST, THEN PROBABLY AT LEAST A FEW SHOWERS AND STORMS TOWARDS WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON AS MOISTURE WORKS ITS WAY UP OVER A WARM FRONT. AND THEN THE WHOLE NEXT SYSTEM MOVES IN HERE OVERNIGHT, LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND INTO THURSDAY. SCATTERED SHOWERS, SOME STORMS AND IT’S MAYBE POSSIBLE AGAIN THAT WE COULD HAVE A COUPLE MORE, MORE STRONGER STORMS OUT AHEAD OF THIS FRONT, KIND OF AROUND THIS LOW PRESSURE ZONE FROM CENTRAL INTO EASTERN IOWA DURING THE DAY ON THURSDAY. BUT AS IS OFTEN THE CASE, A LITTLE BIT OF WHAT THE FOLLOWING SYSTEM DEPENDS ON THE FIRST SYSTEM THAT’S GOING TO COME. OUR WAY TOMORROW. SO MORE DETAILS TO COME ON WEDNESDAY INTO THURSDAY. BUT SUFFICE IT TO SAY, THERE IS DEFINITELY MORE RAIN IN THE CARDS THROUGH THE MIDDLE AND LATER PARTS OF THE WEEK. WE DO DRY BACK OUT FULLY THOUGH. BY FRIDAY LOOKS LIKE A KIND OF A BREEZY, SUNNY DAY TO END THE WORKWEEK. TEMPERATURE WISE, TOMORROW IS THE WARMEST SEVENTYS TO NEAR 80. 70 AND THEN WE’LL KIND OF BOUNCE

Tuesday will see winds will be out of the south, with gusts up to 35 mph. Coupled with plenty of sun, that strong breeze will lift temperatures up around 80° in much of Iowa.Interactive Radar | Weather Alerts Late tomorrow afternoon, our focus turns to storm potential. An approaching front will fire storms in far western/northwest Iowa as early as 3-4 p.m. Tuesday. By 6 p.m., these storms will likely merge into a line as they come into central Iowa. Areas near the I-35 corridor could be affected by roughly 8-9 p.m. before the storms travel farther east and weaken. As far as threats go, there could be a tornado during the initial hour or two after the storms form, but damaging winds and larger hail will be the more likely problem as the storms congeal together during the evening. Wednesday, a low-pressure center & warm front approaches from the southwest. Showers and some storms will likely spread into Iowa again later in the day, but the front won't follow until Wednesday night. That sets the stage more rainfall Thursday as the main system traverses Iowa. There is the possibility of some severe storms around central/eastern Iowa Thursday, but that's still fairly up in the air.
